Times-7 has debuted at position 20 on the Deloitte Fast 50 for 2010. Times-7 CEO Antony Dixon says the company's appearance on the list caps a growing list of awards for innovation and excellence for the Lower Hutt based RFID company.
The Deloitte Fast 50 index has been celebrating business growth in New Zealand since 2001. The Fast 50 is a Deloitte initiative which operates in 32 countries or regions worldwide. The Deloitte Fast 50 index has become a barometer of successful, innovative businesses across the country. To make the 2010 index companies had to achieve growth of 161%.
Entries to the index are compiled through a combination of Deloitte research, public nominations, and businesses stepping up to be benchmarked. Businesses that choose to enter and meet the entry criteria are then ranked according to their percentage revenue growth. The 50 businesses with the highest percentage growth will make up the 2010 Deloitte Fast 50.

Current bar code-based airport baggage tracking systems offer typical identification rates of <90%, meaning too many bags are manually handled. A Times-7 SlimLine Reader Station combines leading RFID readers with Times-7's SlimLine antenna to produce a small, compact unit which is quick and easy to install, and provides read rates of 99.9% at one quarter the price of competitive offerings.
