| The SlimLine A6020 is Times-7's latest generation portal for conveyor-belt based UHF RFID applications. The portal is designed to provide industry leading assignment rates and be easily installed into existing infrastructure. The advanced underbelt antenna rests on the conveyor tray directly beneath the moving belt; this is unique to Times-7. This improves read rates and dramatically reduces airport systems downtime during installation. The side and top antennas are also low profile and produce an even, balanced field. Mounting and connection options are extremely flexible. The antenna’s near-field and far-field radiation patterns are optimised to read tags directly on or close to the belt.

| The SlimLine A6011 is a circular-polarised flat panel antenna array encased in an ultra-low-profile UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) radome. It is especially suited to conveyor-belt-based UHF RFID applications, such as airport baggage handling.
At just 12 mm high, the A6011 is designed for easy installation. It can be quickly and easily installed on the bed of the conveyor, directly beneath the moving belt. The UHMWPE1 radome eliminates wear issues.

Challenge: An international airport wanted to speed up inwards passenger processing by eliminating queues for bio-security x-ray screening. Existing processes require expensive and dedicated equipment that tie up real estate and can cause long delays exiting airports during peak times.
Solution: A Times-7 SlimLine Portal for Passenger Processing that uses RFID tagged bags. By combining an in-line x-ray with Times-7 SlimLine Portals, RFID tagged bags can be scanned by bio-security officials in advance of passenger retrieval. As passengers move through the arrivals hall, a Times-7 SlimLine Portal can automatically detect bags of interest and prompt bio-security officials to investigate further.
Challenge: Conventional airport baggage tracking systems typically have identification rates of <90% meaning too many bags are manually handled. RFID systems deliver much higher read rates, however the RFID readers stations currently available are large, expensive and complicated to install. They also require expensive shielding, similar in size to x-ray machines in airports.
Solution: A Times-7 SlimLine Reader Station combines leading RFID readers with Times-7's SlimLine antenna to produce a small, compact unit which is quick and easy to install, and provides read rates of 99.9% at one quarter the price of competitive offerings. The antennas are engineered to use just 10% maximum RF energy output. They optimize read patterns enabling RFID bag labels to be read in any orientation. This eliminates any need for expensive tunnels and curtains.
