Ruggedness and environmental performance

The compact, attractive A5020 is made from UV-Resistant ABS and possesses the physical strength of traditional, rugged industrial antennas.

Its IP68 rating makes it one of the few antennas in the RAIN (UHF) RFID market which is fully waterproof, dustproof and corrosion resistant.

This makes the A5020 suitable for indoor and outdoor use, including in damp and wet conditions.

The A5020’s ruggedness and environmental performance are useful because:

• Withstands dust and water, while continuing to perform
• Ability to operate in a wide range of temperatures

Strong connector for industrial applications

Some industrial applications require the antenna connector to be protected from knocks and hits from moving machinery in the work environment.

To provide that little bit of extra-ruggedness, Times-7 has designed a Connector Protection Backplate. This backplate simply attaches to the rear side of the antenna and bends over the connector.

Slots allow for cables to be attached in such a way that the accessory cable can be routed behind the antenna or sideways.

The backplate is equipped with four mounting holes to support the VESA mounting capability of the A5020.
