Our highly experienced team have a unique combination of RFID design, system engineering and manufacturing know-how, underpinned by practical, pragmatic, implementation skills. Our engineers have many years' experience developing radio frequency (RF) solutions and hold many patents in this area. These skills, and the resulting products and solutions developed, have made Times-7 a valuable and sought after partner for RFID design, engineering and implementation projects.
Times-7 has developed disruptive low-cost passive RFID technology for high-speed identification that is significantly lower cost than any existing RFID system in the market. Through world leading innovative design of passive tags and reader antennas, Times-7 solutions compete successfully with more expensive active tag based systems and open up new market opportunities where RFID has previously been cost prohibitive.
Jos Kunnen is now leading the Times-7 team. Jos became a Director of Times-7 last year, at the request of Antony Dixon, previous CEO and founder of Times-7 and was recently appointed by the Board as CEO.
Jos is a Wellington-based Company Director and Investor with over 30 years technical and general management experience across several industries, with small and large New Zealand businesses and multi-national enterprises. Jos’s professional career started as an electrical engineer, then transitioned through technical, engineering and general management roles in the IT industry, and he has held previous positions as CIO and CEO.
Jos’s passion is helping clients improve their business performance with the application of technology and data to drive evidence based strategic and operational decision making. He is also a Board member of Angel HQ and has contributed as a Mentor for Lightning Lab, Te Papa’s Mahuki and other programmes.
Scott Parker brings over 25 years of executive sales and general management experience to Times-7. Scott has served in a range of positions in Silicon Valley based companies from Worldwide VP of Sale for Fortune 500 companies to CEO of a venture backed start up. Scott will leverage this experience as he drives his charter to expand the company’s sales channels in all geographies. He comes to Times-7 from InSite Partners as part of the company’s active investment in the company.
Paul has over 20 years experience working in the hi-tech manufacturing sector, including production expertise at senior management level with sonar systems at Geoacoustics (UK), and brings to Times-7 assured quality and operations management excellence.
As Times-7 enters an exciting growth phase, Paul manages all aspects of production and delivery to ensure consistently high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Prabakar has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently researching in Antennas at a Doctoral level at AUT University. With active skills in radio frequency simulation software and programming languages, Prabakar is a self-confessed ‘new generation’ lateral thinker. He has published conference papers in highly reputable institutions like IEEE. Prabakar has hands-on experience designing laboratory radio frequency systems and antennas. As an RF Engineer at Times-7, Prabakar is focused on the R&D side of our UHF RFID antenna technology. As a key member of the R&D team, Prabakar utilises his skills and experience (including his lateral thinking), which enables him to accurately tune and further advance and develop our antenna product portfolio. Prabakar is also part of the quality control system at Times-7, and is part of the essential process responsible for ensuring that all antennas shipped to our customers are absolutely on par!
Channel Sales and Marketing
Since joining Times-7 in 2013, Lucille is well entrenched as the key contact for Sales and Marketing support functions. Over her working career, Lucille has worked in a range of industries from Office Automation to Mobile Technology and now Hi-Tech Manufacturing. Lucille has a passion for working with customers as well as Marketing and has completed a Certificate in Business Management and a degree in Applied Marketing. Lucille’s more than 10 years of support and administration experience has bought to Times-7 a very high level of customer service ethic, positive attitude and good humour. Outside of work, with a whistle in hand, she actively puts her coaching and leadership skills to use beside the netball court.
