Founded in 2006, Times-7 has developed the largest portfolio of fixed RAIN RFID reader antennas. As well as a large portfolio of standard antennas for all applications, Times-7 also offers a custom antenna development service, when the requirements are not fully satisfied by our catalogue antennas.
Times-7 is a member of the RAIN RFID Alliance and regularly attends and participates in industry events.
Jos Kunnen leads the high-performing Times-7 team. Jos is a Wellington-based Company Director and investor with over 35 years of technical and general management experience across several industries, in multi-national enterprises and large and small New Zealand businesses.
Under Jos's leadership, Times-7 has grown to become the leading global RAIN RFID antenna designer and manufacturer, with the largest antenna portfolio, and the responsiveness and capability to meet all UHF RFID project demands.
Jos’s passion is helping our clients improve their business performance through the effective application of RAIN RFID technology to provide reliable data to drive evidence-based strategic and operational decision making.
He is an active member of the global RAIN RFID Alliance and sponsors the company's Industry 4.0 and customer initiatives.
Jos’s professional career started as an electrical engineer, then transitioned through technical, engineering and general management roles in the IT industry, and he has held previous positions as CIO and CEO in several companies. He is also a Board member of Angel HQ and has contributed as a Mentor for Lightning Lab, Te Papa’s Mahuki and other programmes. He holds a B.E (Elect) and an MBA (Dist.).
A relentless focus on helping customers achieve their goals is what Dave brings to Times-7. Having worked in high-tech sales and marketing leadership roles for over 25 years, he is focused on ensuring Times-7 continually earns the trust of system integrators, OEM partners and distributors.
David has been advising Times-7 for over four years, providing sales coaching and consulting services to the wider Times-7 team. While he still operates a sales coaching business, since May 2021, he has supported Times-7 operationally in the role of Marketing and Sales Leader, and since April 2022, as Acting CEO while Jos Kunnen, CEO and Managing Director, takes an extended working holiday.
Business Development Manager
George has an extensive background in both digital marketing and account management for a range of agencies and organisations across Australia and New Zealand. George will be across all things Sales & Marketing here at Times-7.
While George enjoys the more analytical & data driven side of Digital Marketing, he also enjoys building strong and lasting relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that they get the best solution for their problem.
Ryan has a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering with Honours and having completed the Impinj skill level 1 assessment Ryan is heavily involved in researching and testing our products to ensure we are always up to date with the latest in RFID and RF technology.
Ryan has worked alongside Senior RF Engineer Prabakar Parthiban in publishing a highly reputable IEEE paper. As an RF Engineer at Times-7, Ryan is focused on antenna technology and will soon be taking the RFID certification exam. As a key member of the R&D team, Ryan utilises his skills enabling him to further advance our antennas.
Peter has an extensive background in the engineering industry and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Technology and a Bachelor's in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology. Peter has 20 years of experience in manufacturing in technical management, production, and team-leading roles; Peter is a valuable asset to the Times-7 team.
He oversees the production team and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources are on hand and that the antennas are of the highest quality. His skills and background are essential to his role at Times-7 as Production Manager.
Business Operations Manager
Raminder’s role as Business operations manager involves the full development and modelling of our long-range strategic plan, strategic rick analysis and mitigation planning. Raminder also makes sure we are all up to date with compliance and various industry initiatives.
He has an impressive professional portfolio with 11 years’ experience as a Ship Captain, a Masters in Mariners Licence, a Masters in Global Management from Victoria University and a degree in physics at the graduate level. With all this experience Raminder hung up his sailing boots and transitioned his skills into helping with business operations. With a passion for operations excellence and a key strength in supply chain management Raminder is a crucial part in the operations and the realisation of Times-7's long-term strategic business plan.
Paul has over 20 years experience working in the hi-tech manufacturing sector, including production expertise at senior management level with sonar systems at Geoacoustics (UK), and brings to Times-7 assured quality and operations management excellence.
As Times-7 enters an exciting growth phase, Paul manages all aspects of production and delivery to ensure consistently high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Marketing & Sales
Arlene has a strong business leadership and management background, having completed a level 5 Diploma in business in 2019. Arlene will be using her skills across all things sales and admin here at Times-7. It takes someone with a keen willingness to learn, organisation skills and an eye for detail to oversee all administrative tasks within our company, and Arlene is the perfect person for this role.
As an Administrative Assistant, Arlene will answer phones and perform other jobs critical to office operations. Arlene has a great talent for business management and technology and is eager to help her co-workers and our customers.
While financial health starts with “quality” delivered by every single person at Times-7, it takes a highly responsible and organised person to oversee the financial performance of a company. Equipped with a Financial Management degree and more than 15 years’ experience in this area, Ilze is precisely that person.
Remarkably thorough and accurate she makes sure that every financial transaction that comes in and goes out adds up correctly and is always on time making Times-7 financial processes world-class. When Ilze is not juggling numbers, she unfolds her fantastic talent for organising company events or catering for various staff get-togethers.
