Times-7 Portal Tower

Single side full-height coverage
The Portal Tower uses one upper and one lower antenna unit on a single side to provide coverage for taller pallet loads. Unlike the Portal Base, which is optimised for pallets up to 1.1 m, the Tower extends the read zone of each port vertically to better energise tags across taller loads.

Faster antenna switching for item-level reads
With only two antenna ports to cycle, the Portal Tower can switch between antennas faster than the four-antenna Portal System. This allows the same read area to be energised more frequently, supporting improved item-level read rates in narrow portal configurations and high tag-density applications such as apparel distribution.

Optimised for narrow portal openings
The single-sided antenna configuration requires less installation space than the dual-sided Portal System, making the Tower particularly suited to narrow dock doors, space-constrained warehouse read points, and retail logistics environments. It provides the vertical coverage required for tall pallets without requiring antenna units on both sides of the portal.

Purpose-built for apparel and high tag-density loads
The combination of fast antenna cycling, true circular polarisation, and focused 50° beams makes the Portal Tower well suited to apparel and other item-level applications where many tags with varying orientations need to be captured within a defined read zone. A high front-to-back ratio helps limit RF energy outside the intended read area, reducing the potential for unwanted reads from nearby tagged goods.

Reader Compatibility
Compatible with standard RAIN RFID readers, allowing system integrators to select the reader that meets their deployment requirements.
