The Times-7 Portal is a RAIN RFID portal system designed for dock door and warehouse environments. It enables automated tracking of pallets, cartons, and individually tagged items as they move through logistics facilities, retail supply chains, and warehouse operations.
Developed using Times-7’s proven RF expertise, the Portal combines high-performance RFID tracking with a constrained-beam antenna design, and straightforward installation.
The system has been designed to help address common challenges associated with traditional RFID portals, including cross-reads between adjacent lanes, limited item-level visibility, and deployment complexity.
The Times-7 Portal System is designed for wide portal openings, tall pallets, and mixed product environments. With dual-sided coverage and four antenna units, it provides the greatest spatial coverage across the portal opening.
Best suited for: Distribution centres, wider dock doors, tall pallets, and mixed product loads.
The Times-7 Portal Tower is designed for narrow portal openings and tall pallet profiles. It uses two antenna units on a single side and is well suited to applications where efficient coverage and fast port switching are required.
Best suited for: Narrow portal openings, apparel applications, and tall pallet loads.
The Times-7 Portal Unit is designed for low-height pallets, challenging product types, and flexible deployment requirements. Its concentrated read zone makes it especially suitable for liquids, metals, and space-constrained installations.
Best suited for: Low-height pallets, beverage distribution, liquid products, metal products, and custom configurations.
